2009 IGSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest

Congratulations to the 77 members of the McCracken Middle School Bands who participated in today’s Illinois Grade School Music Association Solo and Ensemble contest. With 66 Division I’s and 11 Division II’s, the improvement over last weekends recital was very impressive (and needed!).

While I don’t have the choir results with me, I do know they were very successful as well!

Students will receive their comment sheets and medals at their next rehearsal. Again…Congratulations!

Best of luck to the nearly 100 vocal and instrumental solos and ensembles that will be participating in this weekend’s IGMSA Solo and Ensemble Contest at Fairview School!  Event schedules can be received from Mr. De Stefano or Ms. Cohen.

Band students are reminded that their final rehearsal with their accompanist will take place this Friday, February 13 (same time as last week).
